Jean Leisten, nee Moloney, 70, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Thursday, September 24, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Jean was a former teacher at Our Lady of Mercy School in Chicago and St. Zachary School in Des Plaines. Jean was the beloved wife of Joseph for 42 years. She was the loving mother of Kathy, Christine (Tom) Grimm, Michelle (Josh) Jennings, and Joey (Callie) Leisten. Dearest grandmother of Jacob Grimm, Molly Jean Jennings and Baby G, expected in November. Fond sister of Sr. Mary Moloney and Thomas (Yvette) Moloney Jr. Loved by many cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Bernice Moloney.
Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 2, from 3-9 P.M., at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd. (at Northwest Highway) Mt. Prospect, IL 60056. Lying in state Saturday, at 9:30 A.M. until Mass at 10:30 A.M. at St. Zachary Catholic Church 567 W. Algonquin Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016.
